He’s Pregnant in a Supernatural Game  14

Qi Yang wasn’t worried about the truck losing control. Even if it did lose control again and drove towards him, he had a vague premonition that the truck wouldn’t run him over.

In fact, to some extent, Qi Yang even wanted to use his own body to conduct a test.

Qi Yang walked in front, followed by other players. Du Yong looked quite nervous, probably because Qi Yang’s earlier remark about the truck possibly reappearing outside the cafeteria had scared him. As for Yuan Yuan, Qi Yang noticed that her expression hadn’t been normal since she brought the books back.

Qi Yang didn’t think about asking Yuan Yuan what was wrong; if she wanted to talk, she would probably do so voluntarily.

Besides, deep down, Qi Yang didn’t have very deep feelings for these players. Although they had experienced some thrilling crises together in this game, no one was particularly special to Qi Yang.

On the contrary, Qi Yang was much more interested in the supervisor he had only met a few times. A game supervisor, who carried him to the infirmary as soon as he fainted, seemed different from the ghosts and classmates around him. Could it be love at first sight for him?

The thought made Qi Yang chuckle. He didn’t know when he had become so charming. There must be another reason, but the man’s concern for him was not fake.

Walking from the teaching building towards the dormitory, Qi Yang thought the out-of-control truck incident might happen, but it didn’t. Everything was quiet and peaceful until he entered the dormitory.

Compared to Qi Yang’s calm demeanor, Du Yong’s face still showed little relaxation. He hadn’t forgotten what happened in the dormitory when he was sleeping last night. A roommate, in the middle of the night, caught a cat from somewhere, bit off its neck, and ate it raw right there.

Standing in the dormitory, a cold wind blew in from outside. Du Yong always vaguely smelled an uncomfortable scent of blood, whether it was his imagination or not.

Other players went to their respective dormitories. More than half of the players were no longer students. Working adults hadn’t spent a whole day studying in a classroom like this for a long time. Suddenly returning to their student days in the game, many found it hard to adapt and easily felt sleepy at night. Although they lived with ghost classmates in the dormitory, they couldn’t kick them out or fight them. Fighting would violate school rules. The classmates were scary, but so far, no ghost had directly attacked them. All those accidents were indirectly fatal.

The players were all physically and mentally exhausted, some even giving up and deciding to sleep first. If they could die painlessly in their sleep, it would be better than suffering from insomnia all night.

Everyone quickly climbed into bed after washing up.

Du Yong also went to wash his face after Qi Yang did. Before going to bed, he ran to Qi Yang’s bedside. Du Yong gripped the bed rails with both hands, his face a bitter mess, and he whispered to Qi Yang, “It won’t be like last night again, will it?”

At night, the ghost students wouldn’t sleep and would eat there, scaring them.

“They’re not human; their routines shouldn’t be the same as ours.” Attending classes together was also a task for the NPCs. If these ghosts had a choice, if they could choose to act on their own, Qi Yang knew they would have swarmed and pounced on them, the players, long ago.

“Really? It’s not that I’m scared, it’s just that they eat so loudly, I can’t pretend not to hear them.” Du Yong said he wasn’t scared, but his expression completely betrayed him; he was clearly terrified.

Qi Yang lowered his gaze, staring at Du Yong, a smile appearing in his eyes: “You… do you want to sleep with me?”

Suddenly guessing his thoughts, Du Yong let out a self-conscious laugh.

“No, I never thought that way, but if you, Qi Yang, think that way, I don’t mind sharing a bed with you.”

Qi Yang rolled over and lay back down, using his actions to convey his answer to Du Yong.

“The bed’s too small, it’s too cramped for two people, and I’m not used to sleeping with others.” Qi Yang’s expression subtly changed when he said that last sentence, but Du Yong didn’t notice it then.

Rejected by Qi Yang, Du Yong’s face fell. He opened his mouth, wanting to try harder, but seeing that Qi Yang had already closed his eyes and gone to sleep, he bit his lip hard and turned back to his own bed.

After Du Yong left, Qi Yang silently opened his eyes. In the darkness, his gaze was dark and deep. He would always inadvertently think of a certain night a few months ago. What if that day hadn’t happened? Qi Yang looked at the ceiling, and with this small question, Qi Yang fell asleep.

In the early hours of the morning, Qi Yang was already fast asleep, but Du Yong hadn’t slept yet. His nerves were completely taut, waiting for the chewing sound from yesterday to appear. He waited and waited, and when it finally came, Du Yong’s whole body stiffened, but at the same time, he seemed to let out a sigh of relief.

Du Yong covered his head with a blanket and his ears with both hands. He didn’t know how much time had passed. He cautiously removed his hands, and the sounds of his classmates eating in the dorm seemed to have stopped. Just as Du Yong pulled the blanket off his face, his expression changed drastically. A gaze beside him was silently fixed on him, and the smell of blood assailed his nostrils. Du Yong slowly turned his neck to look out from his bed and saw a classmate, his mouth full of blood, squatting beside his bed. When the ghostly classmate saw Du Yong wake up, he parted his crimson lips. Blood was still dripping from his mouth, making faint sounds as it fell onto the dorm floor.

The classmate held a lamp in his hand, its light illuminating his face. As if worried that Du Yong couldn’t clearly see his terrifying face, the classmate deliberately leaned closer to Du Yong.

Looking at the blood-stained face of the ghost getting closer and closer, Du Yong gasped in fear and then couldn’t help but let out a scream.

The scream was quite loud, waking up Qi Yang, who had already fallen asleep. Suddenly woken up from a sound sleep, Qi Yang opened his eyes and leaned over to look at the lower bunk diagonally opposite him. Du Yong was sitting up, and one of his roommates was squatting by his bed.

Although he couldn’t clearly see what his roommate’s face looked like at that moment, Qi Yang guessed it was probably unusual. Qi Yang wasn’t angry at Du Yong; after all, anyone would probably be scared if someone stared at them like that in the middle of the night. It was this roommate, though, who had kept people from sleeping last night and was doing it again tonight.

“If you keep disturbing others at night so they can’t sleep, doesn’t that count as a violation?”

Qi Yang stared down at his roommate. The roommate’s body seemed to stiffen slightly when he heard Qi Yang’s voice. He stood up and turned to look at Qi Yang, quickly wiping the fresh blood from his mouth with his sleeve.

“I wasn’t making noise. The one who screamed just now wasn’t me.” Indeed, it wasn’t the ghostly roommate screaming; he looked innocent.

Qi Yang wasn’t so easily fooled.

“If you weren’t staying up late at night, running to Du Yong’s bed and staring at him, would he have been scared? My temper isn’t good, I think you should have known that yesterday. In my opinion, waking people up at night is a very bad habit. If you don’t want me to tell the teacher tomorrow, then behave yourself.” Qi Yang directly threatened him.

He had originally said this tentatively, as if these ghosts were very afraid of supervisors and afraid of violating rules and being punished by supervisors. As a result, the roommate’s face immediately changed, and his expression when looking at Qi Yang even seemed to suggest that Qi Yang was a terrifying figure.

“I-I’m sorry, I’ll never do it again. I hope you won’t tell the teacher tomorrow.” The ghost student’s eyes were red, as if about to cry.

These guys have things they’re afraid of too. In the classroom, they’re always scaring the players, and occasionally getting scared themselves seems quite interesting.

The slight unpleasantness of being disturbed and woken up quickly faded. Qi Yang told his roommate to go to bed early, and also told Du Yong to go to bed quickly.

Du Yong’s eyes were completely starry, gazing at Qi Yang with immense admiration, wishing he could immediately kneel before Qi Yang, hug his leg, and exclaim, “Brother Qi, I admire you so much!”

Qi Yang ignored Du Yong’s overflowing admiration, lay down on the bed, and continued to sleep.

Du Yong finally let out a sigh of relief. He hadn’t expected this approach, but thinking about it, it made sense. Since it was a student dormitory, eating late at night and disturbing others would definitely be a violation. They only focused on not violating rules themselves, but they hadn’t considered these ghosts. The existence of that supervisor indicated that the ghosts were just like them, and there were some things they couldn’t do either.

Du Yong slept soundly in the latter half of the night, and woke up the next morning feeling refreshed.

Everyone in the other dorms had even darker circles under their eyes. Du Yong walked up to them, looking cheerful, his expression clearly saying, ‘Come on, ask me, ask me why I don’t have dark circles.’

Qi Yang, standing nearby, shook his head slightly. Du Yong was truly thick-skinned, but this kind of personality was occasionally enviable.

Yi Xinming hadn’t slept too well either. The room was filled with the smell of blood, and it was impossible to open the door for ventilation, so he fell asleep amidst the bloody stench. By morning, his head felt heavy and very uncomfortable.

Seeing that Du Yong seemed to be sleeping soundly, Xu Yang had already spoken up before Yi Xinming could ask.

“You slept well last night, didn’t you? No strange noises?” Xu Yang asked, leaning close to Du Yong.

Du Yong was waiting for this very question. He immediately beamed, his expression as if he was the one who made the ghosts afraid.

Du Yong vividly described what happened last night. After listening, the players all showed shocked expressions. They all turned their gaze to Qi Yang, thinking to themselves, “So it can be like this, it can actually be like this.”

“Isn’t my brother Qi amazing?” Du Yong, as Qi Yang’s subordinate, was very proud.

“Amazing!” Xu Yang had admired Qi Yang since last night’s evening self-study session, and now he realized even more how much higher Qi Yang’s intelligence was than his own.

The players took note of this situation, planning to use Qi Yang’s words to remind anyone who ate tonight.

Today is Friday. The players arrived at this game on Wednesday morning, and they generally accepted that leaving school on Saturday afternoon would be the condition for clearing the game.

Only two days had passed, but for the players, it felt longer than two weeks.

The morning classes, like the previous two days, were uneventful. This means no players were injured or had accidents; the ghost students would still change their faces on time every class, transforming into eerie and terrifying appearances to scare everyone. Everyone had learned to stare at their textbooks and avoid looking at the ghosts’ horrifying faces.

At lunch in the cafeteria, everyone now formed a group, basically going everywhere together.

The lunch break was also in the dormitory. Qi Yang thought something would happen during the lunch break, but no one had an accident until the first class in the afternoon.

Then, during the first period, several classes with players had physical education together. Everyone stood on the playground, exchanging glances, clearly sensing that something was going to happen during PE.
