He’s Pregnant in a Supernatural Game 17

A familiar scream echoed, not because the sound itself was familiar, but because Qi Yang was already accustomed to similar situations. If he woke up one morning to find a corpse lying in the dorm, Qi Yang thought he would probably just calmly observe it, perhaps even trying to figure out the cause of death first.

Qi Yang unhurriedly got up and dressed. Du Yong wasn’t as calm as Qi Yang; after all, there was only one player as unique as Qi Yang, from beginning to end.

Du Yong’s heart immediately sank. The sound came from outside, and judging by the direction, it seemed to be the outdoor restroom. The two people who should have been sleeping on the floor in the dorm were nowhere to be seen, only their quilts remained.

Both of them went out to wash their faces, and one of them screamed. Does this mean something happened to someone, or did they see something terrifying?

Although Du Yong didn’t have a good impression of those two people, as fellow humans and currently part of the same group, he still didn’t want anything to happen to anyone.

He quickly put on his clothes and walked out, stopping after two steps to look at Qi Yang, who was climbing down from the upper bunk.

Du Yong waited for a moment for Qi Yang to join him. He was too scared to go alone.

Players from other dorms also heard the sudden screams. Everyone scrambled out of bed, some so nervous they hadn’t properly dressed or had buttoned their shirts incorrectly. Players ran out of their dorms and gathered in the hallway, exchanging glances. It was clear many were worried and scared, and no one knew what had happened.

Yi Xinming quickly walked up to Qi Yang. He remembered there should have been two other people in Qi Yang’s dorm, but now he only saw Qi Yang and Du Yong, with the other two missing.

“…Are they in the bathroom?” Yi Xinming immediately guessed a possibility.

Qi Yang nodded in affirmation. It could only be the bathroom; it was impossible for those two to have gone to the cafeteria or classroom.

“So… want to go take a look?” Yi Xinming suggested.

Yi Xinming walked at the very front, and even when they reached the public restroom, Yi Xinming was the first to enter. The others waited cautiously outside, craning their necks. As soon as Yi Xinming stepped inside, he first saw a player standing sideways, their entire body stiff and rigid, their face filled with terror. Following the player’s fearful gaze, Yi Xinming looked into a cubicle on the left. His eyes swept over it, and even though Yi Xinming had witnessed many horrific deaths, the scene before him still sent a chill through his entire body, making all the hairs on his skin stand on end.

In the cubicle a few meters away, the player who was alive yesterday had their limbs severed, scattered around their body. A pool of fresh blood stained the floor beneath them, and their eyes were wide open, staring blankly in death.

Yi Xinming’s stomach churned, a strong urge to vomit rising within him. He suppressed the nausea in his throat, his gaze hardening as he focused on what the player was holding in their severed right hand. Though covered in flesh and blood, it was clearly an axe.

Judging by the direction of the axe, it seemed the player had chopped off their own right hand from the shoulder.

Yi Xinming turned to observe his surroundings. There was no blood splattered outside the cubicle; the blood was only inside, and there were no signs of a struggle. If someone else had chopped off the limbs, the surrounding blood wouldn’t be so clean, appearing to be concentrated only around the player’s body.

Someone outside the restroom wanted to come in. Yi Xinming heard footsteps and stopped them. He told the players not to enter, then informed them that someone had been dismembered and was dead.

Yi Xinming didn’t mention the superfluous details. He turned to leave, noticing that the player standing beside him was already scared stiff, as if unable to move. Yi Xinming pulled that person.

The other party gasped, his eyes bloodshot, looking at Yi Xinming in panic and helplessness, his voice full of sobs: “Everything was fine before, how did it suddenly become like this again? I’m dreaming, right? It’s impossible…”

Yi Xinming didn’t say anything, pulling the player out of the restroom. Someone had died inside. Even if a player was desperate to go at that moment, they would rather hold it in until they died than step into the restroom again.

They didn’t step in, but the other ghostly students excitedly surged into the restroom, their expressions and demeanor as if they were heading to a grand feast.

Watching these human-skinned ghosts, Qi Yang and the others stepped aside to make way for them.

The players walked towards the staircase. Yi Xinming gave Qi Yang a look, and the two walked aside alone. Yi Xinming meticulously told Qi Yang everything he had discovered in the restroom.

“Found 6?” If nothing unexpected happened, the number corresponding to the location where the player whose limbs were severed had an accident should be 6.

Yi Xinming nodded. He saw a small, blood-red number inside the stall door. The number was too small, and the lights in the restroom weren’t as bright as during the day. If someone was in a hurry to use the restroom at night, they might not notice it.

This can only be attributed to individual luck. All the players went to the restroom last night, but only that one person had an accident.

“Today is Saturday, tomorrow is Sunday, and there are three more crises,” Qi Yang’s pupils slightly contracted. He looked towards the back of the dormitory, a large area of residential houses, but apart from the school, the surrounding buildings seemed uninhabited.

Du Yixin had observed the outside early that morning. There wasn’t a single soul on the streets; everything was deserted, like a ghost town.

“I originally thought it would be easier to clear the level, but now it seems I was thinking too much,” Yi Xinming sighed slightly.

Qi Yang, however, wasn’t worried about his own safety. He knew that compared to dangerous, man-eating ghosts, he was actually safer than the ghosts, because the ghosts were afraid of him.

“We can only be more careful, and pray for better luck.” Qi Yang wouldn’t tell these people about his special nature. People’s hearts are hidden; no one knows what the person standing in front of them is truly thinking.

Everyone has their own secrets. For example, Qi Yang vaguely sensed that Yuan Yuan was hiding something from him.

But he rarely asked about it.

Everyone left the dorms for the classrooms, washed their faces in the school building’s restrooms, and then went to their classrooms for morning self-study.

During morning classes, many players were distracted, leading to some being called upon by the teacher. Unable to answer, they were sent to stand at the back of the classroom.

During the Chinese class, the auditing teacher came again. Everyone knew that the teacher’s identity was a game supervisor.

Fu Mingnan was sitting in the last row of the classroom, and someone else was punished to stand at the back. That person happened to be standing next to Fu Mingnan. Knowing how terrifying Fu Mingnan’s methods were, the player wanted to dodge to the side, but Fu Mingnan shot a light glance, and the player stiffened all over, then stood motionless, not daring to breathe.

Listening to lectures was quite boring. Qi Yang used to be more cautious and would listen carefully, but now he doesn’t care as much. Sometimes when he’s tired, he’ll just lean his head down and sleep. As for whether he worries about Du Yong and the others suspecting him, Qi Yang knows these two have become his fanboy and fangirl. Their trust in him is greater than their trust in other players.

Qi Yang was sleeping in class. The teacher saw him sleeping and, so as not to disturb him, deliberately lowered her voice quite a bit.

After class, Qi Yang pulled a bag of cookies from under his desk. These were supposedly left on his bed by the school doctor one night, placed there by his roommate. Qi Yang hadn’t initially wanted to touch them, but later, his mouth often felt bland. The food in the cafeteria wasn’t particularly good or bad, but for him, a pregnant man, the taste always seemed to be lacking.

Among the items delivered were some high-nutrition foods and biscuits. Qi Yang took some to the classroom and would occasionally take them out to eat when he wanted a snack.

After the Chinese class, Qi Yang ate biscuits. Fu Mingnan, who was leaving the classroom, looked back at Qi Yang and saw him eating the snacks he had specially given him. A faint smile touched his lips.

During the break before the last class, Qi Yang went out into the hallway. He and Yi Xinming discussed the 7th threat. According to Qi Yang’s observations, the 7th victim was likely electrocuted. In the classroom, only the electrical switch might be dangerous, but the switch was blank, with no numbers visible. Then there was the cafeteria, but it seemed unlikely to be electrocuted there. Previous accidents always occurred in different locations, and the cafeteria had already had an incident, so it wouldn’t happen twice there.

Qi Yang currently had no clue where exactly it would happen, so he could only tell everyone to be extra careful and try to avoid touching anything that looked like it could conduct electricity today.

Everyone was cautious, trying not to reach out and touch things unless absolutely necessary. However, despite all their carefulness, someone still had an accident.

When class was dismissed and everyone was going to the cafeteria for dinner, walking up the stairs in the teaching building, the stair railings were all made of iron. Not to mention the person who got electrocuted, even Qi Yang didn’t immediately realize it would be a problem with the railing.

One of the younger players, due to a personal habit, always liked to touch the handrail when going up the stairs. Although he remembered not to touch things that day, he didn’t expect the handrail to conduct electricity. When he touched the handrail, he suddenly remembered this problem, but by the time he wanted to pull his hand away, it was too late. A huge current attacked his entire body, and the player convulsed in pain, screaming in terror and calling for help from the surrounding players. Someone wanted to help him, but as soon as that person moved, another player grabbed their arm.

That was electricity, not something else. If anyone touched it, they would immediately be affected.

The current surged through the player’s body, and soon the player’s skin began to change color. Qi Yang took off his jacket and threw it to the player. The player touched Qi Yang’s clothes, but his fingers had no strength and couldn’t grip.

The player’s skin was charred black from the electric burn, a different kind of black than that caused by raging fire.

Immediately, the pungent smell of burnt flesh filled the air. The player’s body tumbled down the stairs. No one dared to stop it. The player rolled down the stairs, their corpse lying across the next floor.

The other players stood on the stairs, watching another person die in front of them. No one spoke; everyone stared at the corpse with grave and astonished expressions.

Du Yong’s eyes flickered. He remembered a comment he had posted online once. Someone in the thread seemed to be asking what would be a good way to murder someone that would make it look like an accident. At the time, Du Yong, in a playful mood, replied, “I think being electrocuted looks the most like an accident. Haven’t there been news reports about a guy who electrocuted his wife’s brother to get a high insurance payout, and then tried to kill his wife, but was caught by the police? He wasn’t caught when he killed his brother-in-law and even got the insurance money.”

So this is what it’s like to be electrocuted, so this is what it’s like. Du Yong suddenly began to regret the things he said online. He even wondered if he would be considered an indirect accomplice if that person really listened to him and went to harm someone.

Du Yong stared at the charred corpse in front of him. It took Qi Yang calling his name twice for him to finally react.

Because the corpse was lying across the next floor, almost blocking the way, if they wanted to continue downstairs, they would most likely have to step over the player’s corpse, which required considerable courage. At least, not many players had that courage, so the group went upstairs, took a detour, and used another staircase to go down.

This time, no one touched the handrail; they all walked along the wall.
