Apocalypse, A Journey of NTRS with My Sister 01

Chapter 1: The Beginning of the Journey

This world has already collapsed. Humanity was invaded by a special virus, and within just one month, all order was destroyed.

In one more month, humanity will be destroyed , and in the final month, all remaining human factions will be wiped out. Now, there aren’t many people left.

At least, the world as I know it no longer seems like a place suitable for human survival.

What kind of virus could be this terrifying?

It’s a virus that turns humans into monsters and evolves endlessly… Perhaps it’s not even a virus, but some kind of extraterrestrial organism from the universe. No one knows for sure.

This sounds very much like the zombie virus from old movies and TV shows, but it’s clearly far more terrifying.

The virus brought not just slow-moving zombies, but even the kind of alien monsters that only appeared in horror games weren’t unheard of.

They were fast, lethal, natural-born predators, and more importantly, they grew stronger over time.

In the end, some monsters evolved within just a few months to become impervious to blades , even surviving nuclear blasts.

The main reason all resistance proved futile was the sudden spread of the virus.

It infected everyone worldwide, at the same instant.

No quarantine, no control, no preparation—everything seemed prearranged to destroy the world in the fastest and cruelest way possible. Global fatalities exceeded 99%, maybe more. Who knows?

Only a handful survived—those few humans with some immunity to the virus, who escaped the first wave of disaster, barely clinging to life in the shadows, hiding from the roaming monsters.

And I was one of them.

Of course, so was my sister.

The other family members have already passed away, and I traverse this land filled with ruins with my younger sister, searching for our last shred of meaning in survival.

Half a year has passed since the collapse of order. Six months is neither long nor short, but in what were once prosperous cities, hardly anyone can be seen anymore.

The surviving humans are likely hiding in the shadows or banding together to head toward the rumored safe zones.

National powers may no longer exist, but the presence of small safe zones is still possible—at least, I’ve heard about them on the radio.

I’ve also seen helicopters dropping evacuation zone posters, but unfortunately, they only instruct survivors to make their own way there.

My sister and I are also searching for the evacuation zone. According to the information we’ve gathered, it’s in Yunhai City, still a very long distance from here.

The continuous journey has left us exhausted. We found a safe spot in an abandoned residential building and set up a small base.

For now, we’ll focus on gathering supplies and making plans to move forward.

But amidst these serious matters, there would occasionally be some small… interludes.

At night, I lit a candle.

The faint light illuminated my younger sister’s soft, youthful cheeks as she slowly drew closer to me, her face slightly flushed but without any obvious expression.

“Brother, is this okay?”

“Yes, that’s right… mmm…” The smaller girl crouched before me, gripping a mysterious object that didn’t belong to her in her hands. Her small hands moved up and down gently, though not skillfully, she was very earnest.

She carefully observed the strange shape of it, watching as the foreskin covered the head and then peeled back again under her own touch. A bit of fluid was squeezed out from the tip, which made her feel somewhat intrigued.

The girl stared intently, her face slightly flushed. Her rosy lips were very close to it, and the warmth of her breath easily reached the tip.
